How will on-site checks be carried out in future?
On-site checks will be carried out based on the assumption that the company is storing the relevant data. Preparations to make this a legal obligation are being made in most EU member states based on their local regulations.
How will roadside checks be carried out ?
For the procedure of mobile roadside checks the European Commision has published the recommendation "Commission Recommendation of 23 January 2009 on guidelines for best enforcement practice concerning checks of recording equipment to be carried out at roadside checks and by authorised workshops"
The control card enables the control official to access all data stored in the mass memory of a digital tachograph.
What data is stored on the control card?
The key parameters (date, time, duration, identification of the vehicle inspected, card number of the driver card checked) for the last 20 control activities will be stored on the control card. It is not planned to store mass memory or driver card data on the control card. Special solutions are required for downloading data and already implemented in market.
Can all digital tachographs be checked with the control card?
Yes, the control card can be used for all products from all manufacturers.
Is it possible to use mass memory data for accident analysis?
Yes, some data are compatible for accident analysis. Accident analysts receive for this the card of the control officer. Also workshop and company cards are compatible.
